StockTaper Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
Welcome to StockTaper ("StockTaper", "we", "us", or "our").
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use:
- Our website and web app
- Our iOS and Android mobile apps
- Any related tools, features, content, and communications (together, the "Service")
By using StockTaper, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
StockTaper is a stock fundamentals research tool designed to help individual investors better understand companies using financial statements, ownership data, and related fundamentals.
Controller / Operator:
Bunker Fox Labs LLC
Email: justin@bunkerfoxlabs.com
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three main ways: you provide it, it's collected automatically, and we receive it from third parties.
2.1 Information you provide directly
When you use StockTaper, you may provide:
Account Information
- Name or display name
- Email address
- Password (stored in hashed form)
Profile & Preferences
- Saved tickers, watchlists, filters, or layout preferences
Subscription & Billing Information
- Plan type, billing status
- Limited payment-related information (the actual card data is processed by our payment provider, not by us)
Support & Communication
- Messages you send us (support requests, feedback, bug reports)
- Any information you include in those messages
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you access or use the Service, we may automatically collect:
Usage & Log Data
- Pages visited, features used, actions taken (e.g., which tickers you view)
- Timestamps, session duration
- Referring URLs
Device & Technical Data
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Device type
Mobile App Identifiers & Attribution Data
- Device identifiers (e.g., Apple's Identifier for Vendor on iOS, the Google Advertising ID on Android)
- Install and app-open events, used to measure which marketing channel led you to install the app
On iOS we do not access the advertising identifier (IDFA) and do not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt; install attribution uses Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework. On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device's privacy settings.
This helps us understand how the product is used and improve performance, reliability, and security.
2.3 Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to:
- Keep you logged in
- Remember your preferences
- Analyze usage of the Service
You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect certain features of the Service.
2.4 Information from third parties
We may receive limited information from:
Payment processors (e.g., Stripe)
- Payment status, subscription status, basic billing details (not full card numbers)
Analytics providers
- Aggregated usage statistics
We do not buy lists of personal data from data brokers.

6. Third-Party Services
We use third-party service providers to operate, monitor, and analyze the Service. These providers have access to your personal data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. They currently include:
